SHAPED BY THE FLOW

Movement forms the I that moves,
before the I that moves forms movement.

Movement is central to how we engage in the world. It is the fundamental attribute to living. Once we accept this, movement becomes an obvious choice for investigating human experience.

About Me

As a movement researcher and somatic practitioner, I was not drawn to retreats for men that are focused only on relaxation or nudity, or one topic like yoga or intimacy. I wanted to provide another option. My foundation comes from the idea that your body shapes the change you need in your mind and emotions. I do not approach bodywork through spirituality, sexuality, or energy work per se, but instead with a deep respect for the individual needs of each person. My research explores the ways we can entangle our mind, body and environment through movement. Working with clients through the Pantarei Approach, and as a dancer for over 25 years, I respect that each person's story and needs are different, and the client's body will provide answers when given space—bodies tell stories, muscles hold memories.

It is not a strength to remain unaffected

“This practice is beginning to teach me how to listen to the wisdom within my body, while also bringing new awareness and a letting go to old habits, stories, and patterns. It has brought to the surface rather quickly new information to help me move forward with greater self awareness and ease, strengthening my intuition.” Ben S. Pantarei Approach Client
