Michael combines over 25 years of experience in dance, artistic research, and somatic practice. His background bridges dance and cognitive science, focusing on how body awareness and movement shape human perception and empathy. His PhD research, Embodied Lines, explored how the lines we perceive, trace, and imagine shape our sense of self and world.

Certified in the Pantarei Approach and informed by Compassionate Inquiry (Dr. Gabor Maté), he brings a trauma-informed, body-based lens to personal and group transformation. His work as a Pantarei Approach practitioner, feedback facilitator, and educator integrates insights from cognitive science, embodied communication, and somatic work into forms of leadership and retreat practices.

Michael has shared his research and workshops across Europe and USA, teaching at institutions including SNDO, Codarts/Fontys, HZT Berlin, ASU, SDSU, ImpulsTanz and SEAD Salzburg.

At the heart of Shaped by the Flow lies his belief that transformation begins with listening — to the body, to others, and to the environments we move through.
